paranoia takes over...so here's a picture of the city

*Edited version*

Mom dragged us out of the house to take a harbor tour since it was a totally beautiful day. Here's a shot of lovely Buffalo. Note city hall is wrapped in scaffolding and netting. I guess it's getting new mortar or something.

By the way, in the last week Daughter has totally learned to walk. It has proved to be both excellent entertainment and pretty good distraction from sad thoughts.
I can honestly say that Daughter is the glue holding my fragile self together these days, and I thank God for her every morning as I lay in bed listening to her yell "UP!"

Also, the doctor called and so far all test results have been negative for any abnormalities with my pregnancy. Very frustrating indeed.

Dorky?!? Nay!!! Beautiful!!! Look at your gorgeous hair ... I would love to have hair like that.

This is a lovely photo, and I'm glad you, your mom and Daughter were able to get out and enjoy the late summer day.

Still keeping you and your family in my thoughts.

You two look adorable and very in-cognito with your shades on, I might add.

What a fabuloso mom you have.

Still praying every day.

I found your site on karen's site and have totally enjoyed seeing all the knitting and quilting and sewing you do. To say how sorry I am for your loss seems so insignificant. But I am taking you up on your advice of knitting some booties and hats for our local hospital. What a wonderful way to touch the life of someone you may never know. To be able to touch the life of a Mom, just like us is a very powerful thing isn't it?

Daughter is adorable!
Sometimes things just happen and there are no understandable answers. There is a song that says, "When answers aren't enough, there is Jesus." - and that about sums it up. Sometimes there are no answers, but He is there to hold you up and take your hand and lead you through.

Aha! I flipped through the yearbook once to see if I could guess which Kate you were from that class, and I think now that I was right :). I love the shades - as Karen said, very incognito and adorable.

You're still in my prayers on a regular basis. It's good to see you smiling, even it was a temporary distraction from pain. Hopefully those temporaries can become more frequent till they are the norm, though I don't imagine the pain will ever entirely go away.

Congrats to Daughter on the walking!

yep, love the shades. I have that same rule.. ok to show Lil bit, because I have seen almost the same face staring back at me on the package of diapers. Me and hubby, though would given us away, and then they might be able to track her. Fuzzy logic, yeah I know.. but there it is.

Y'all look super cute in your big 'ole sunglasses! I'm so glad you have daughter to get you "up!" in the morning. Still thinking of you.

you talking about your daughter yelling up made me think of a story: Lil bit had been awake for a while, but I was tired, and took a bit to motivate.. when I finally got to her crib, she looked me dead in the eyes with an attitude and said "AWAKE!"
