My kids are fond of the lotion bottles and inappropriate menswear as well. My elder daughter has been known to wear her daddy's belt as a necklace. And the mardi gras beads are definitely a huge hit in my house - we have a box full of them that my mom gave the girls and the provide unending fun.
That would be the baby sunblock that she snagged from the diaper bag. Her favorite thing to do all day, every day is carry stuff around and drop it off in different places. It makes for a fun obstacle course/scavenger hunt later.
Seriously, why do we even bother to spend money on toys for our kids? They always, always end up playing with the bottles of baby necessities in their diaper bags. Too funny.
I find my measuring cups all over the house. I have two sets and neither is complete- some are in the toy box, under the bed, in the tub toys. It's hopeless. Forget real toys.
Welcome! I'm a stay-home mom and homemaker, knitting and sewing during every free moment. And no, I do not do these things sans clothing! We Buffalonians sometimes refer to our fair city as "the Buff," thus the name of this blog.
